Great Commission Entrepreneur in Brazil
(PARA PORTUGUÊS: www.joaomordomo.com.)
I'm João, but you can call me John. Since meeting Christ at age 16, my driving passion has been to glorify Him! I love to start and lead anything - mission agencies, churches, businesses - that helps fulfill the Great Commission. I also love to speak, teach, preach and write about God's glory in all areas of life and among all peoples of the world.
I'm co-founder of Crossover Communications International (CCI) and I serve as president of CCI-Brasil as well as VP of CCI's International Leadership Team. I help catalyze the planting of new churches and new Kingdom Companies among unreached peoples and serve in leadership roles of several Kingdom companies.
I am involved with the Lausanne Movement in both Business as Mission (Senior Associate [Catalyst] for BAM) and Diaspora, as well as the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) as founding member of the Council for Business & Theology. I had the privilege of serving as a contributor and editorial team member for the Lausanne Occasional Paper on Business as Mission and the Brazilian Bible Society's award-winning Missionary Study Bible, as well as contributor to the Portuguese-language edition of Winter and Hawthorne's Perspectives on the World Christian Movement and to the Evangelical Missiological Society's book called Business as Mission: From Impoverished to Empowered.
I teach and conduct research at several institutions including Columbia International University and the Olivet Institute for Global Strategic Studies, and blog at the Christian Post.
