I'm João, but you can call me John. Since meeting Christ at age 16, my driving passion has been to glorify Him! I love to start and lead anything - mission agencies, churches, businesses - that helps fulfill the Great Commission. I also love to speak, teach, preach and write about God's glory in all areas of life and society, and among all peoples of the world.

I'm co-founder and Senior Vice President of Crossover (CCI) Global and help catalyze the planting of new churches and new Kingdom Companies among unreached peoples. I also serve in leadership roles in several Kingdom companies.

I serve the Lausanne Movement in both Business as Mission (as Senior Associate, aka Catalyst) and Diaspora (on the global educators task force), as well as the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) as a founding member of the Council for Business & Theology. I also have the privilege of serving as co-chair of BAM Global.

I have written for and edited numerous books, including the recently published Encyclopedia of Christianity in the Global South. My writing has also appeared in publications such as Christianity Today and the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society.

I teach and conduct research at several institutions including Columbia International University, Liberty University, and the Olivet Institute for Global Strategic Studies.
