I was raised a capitalist. I am a capitalist. I will die a capitalist.

In a culture that increasingly says, "capitalism" is bad, I ask, "Where is your sense of adventure?" "Have you lost your dream?" "Where is your inner passion to create something of value for the benefit of mankind?"

Capitalists are innovators and are often refered to as "movers and shakers". They take risks. Sometimes they fail. Sometimes they succeed beyond imagination. They create jobs for those who are more comfortable with taking less risk in their own lives.

Capitalists have paved the way for the modern conveniences we all enjoy. The truly great capitalists take large portions of their wealth and use it take care of widows and the orphans. Honoring God with their wealth is the perfect anecdote to a life of greed.

The Bible says to "Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine." Proverbs 3:9-10

Yes, the Bible supports the way of the capitalist. We are encouraged to go in to the market place to buy, sell and get gain. Isn't it encouraging to know we have a God who wants us to succeed and be prosperous?

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11. He blesses us with wealth, health and relationships; myself having been blessed with an awesome wife and five fantastic kids.

So here's to you fellow capitalists! Let's keep creating, innovating and prospering as we help make the world a better place.

Let's be generous with our new found wealth. Let's share our wisdom, our time and our money so that God can bless us with more.
