John Paul Fiallos

As an International Officer, I want to help bridge the gap and help facilitate success to the membership. I plan to bring a stronger emphasis on the teachings and mentorship of the critical soft skills that are needed to be successful, not only from the classroom to the boardroom but in everyday life. I plan to do this by helping members with what they need to strengthen these critical skills by using:

  • Workshops
  • Training sessions
  • Peer / Advisor mentorship

I know all too well the burdens and problems that face many of our peers that prevent college completion. As the New York Regional President, I faced this problem with my region and my solution to the problem was to:

  • Create avenues of communication with my chapters
  • Brainstorm ways to create possible solutions
  • Create a soundboard for everyone to speak about the problems and troubles the members were facing

So that, as a collective body of both members and advisors, we could address each issue with sound solutions to each of those problems faced by members today. As an International Officer, I strongly advocate for college retention and completion; as such, I will bring

  • Professional Development
  • Personal Development
  • Contructive Peer Analysis
  • Importantace and advocacy for transferring to the next level of our education to the 4 year college.

As a Veteran and an Officer, I understand the need for professional and personal development; and in this competitive, capitalistic society, I truly have an insightful perspective into these important skills that make up the repertoire for anyone who wishes to successful in life. As an International Officer, I will bring:

  • My own personal experiences to be shared by all the members within our society to be used and learned from to help the membership grow from my unique experiences
  • I will create a body of peers to allow the membership to add on to the collection of experiences across the divisions and throughout the whole of our society
  • Implement the tools and the talents that are necessary for each member to meet their educational goals
