John Bodine
Currently serving as Regional Sales Director for 3M Healthcare, John Bodine has a long and successful history with this leading medical products and services company. He has held this position since January of 2012 and manages a team of 13 salespersons throughout the western United States, as well as four nurse consultants in a dotted-line capacity. Prior to becoming Regional Sales Director, John Bodine was District Sales Manager at 3M from 1993 to 2011.
While John Bodine's previous position at 3M focused on selling a variety of health care products to different types of medical facilities and practitioners, his position as Regional Sales Director is focused on hospitals and skin care products only. These products are divided into three categories: advanced wound care, IV therapy, and surgical tape. He and his team have served clients in well-known western U.S. hospitals such as Kaiser Permanente, Banner Health, and Providence Health Systems.
In March 2012, John Bodine was recognized by 3M for his team's exceptional sales ability by winning their Regional Sales Contest in the category of Advanced Wound Care, as his hospital sales region attained the largest sales growth in 2011 as compared to 2010 sales.
John Bodine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Psychology in 1971 from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He also pursued graduate studies in communications at San Diego State University, which is part of the California State University System.
When not leading his sales team to success, John Bodine enjoys staying physically fit with a number of athletic activities. An avid hiker and jogger, he explores local trails at least four times a week, including the Presidio and Golden Gate National Park. Mr. Bodine also competes in 10K runs, having finished fifth in his age category in the Los Gatos Jungle Run in July 2012. A tennis player since the 1960s and winner of two 3M doubles championships in the 1980s, he tries to work recreational tennis into his busy schedule as often as possible.
