John Mitrakas

I'm a Graphic Designer living in Athens, Greece. I currently work at the newspaper "Eleftheros Typos" from 1991.

I have a B.A. in Graphic Design at Technological Educational Institute of Athens, a B.E. in Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology at Omega Aviation Academy & a Web Design Certification.
As a Graphic Designer, I have studied Animation, Font Design, Free Hand Drawing, Architectural Design, Comic, Graphic Design, Applied Design/Synthesis, Cartoon, Photography, History of Graphic Design, Commercial & Digital Photography, Typography, Storyboard, Promotional Campaign, Industrial Design, Book Design, Package Design.

I used to have my own photographic studio, Studio F, and worked as a Commercial Photographer.
As a Graphic Designer in Efstathiadis Group I have won the 2nd Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Singapore Foundation Award in 1990 for designing & implementating a foreign book.
When in army I designed the Hellenic Air Force's Magazine "Ptisi".
Last but not least, I have designed the posters & brochures of the Agricultural Cooperatives Union of Soufli, as a first-year student.

In my spare time I like to go hiking, mountain biking & get busy with carpentry and biomechanical design.
