John Singer

John graduated from Dawson College in Illustration and Design. He chose to further his education through apprenticeships in top Montreal studios and by studying with successful
illustrators. He was able to attend the Illustration Academy based out of Virginia State
University, where he received guidance and inspiration from illustrators such as Mark English, John English, Brent Watkinson and Gary Kelley. John now has the pleasure of teaching at Dawson College in the same program he graduated from.

Based out of Montreal, John currently does advertising illustration for all of the major
agencies including Bos, BBDO, Cossette, Draft FCB, LG2, Marketel McCann/Erickson, Palm Havas, Sid Lee and Y&R. John’s work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators in New York and has won awards in all of the major illustration annuals. He continues to explore his interests and expand new directions in his personal work. John shares his studio, all of his art supplies, and passion for art with his three young children and understanding wife.
