John Boyd

I was born in Hollywood, California and attended North Hollywood High School. Ever since I was a teenager, I tinkered with computers. It was my hobby, my passion, and my way of learning. Like most kids I enjoyed computer games. My folks gave me a computer as a reward for making the honor roll in school. First I mastered programming basics and then word processing. By the time I graduated high school I knew I wanted to study marketing. I follow Steve Jobs education philosophy in the way that I never had time to finish a degree, but rather took the courses that interested me. My formal education at UCLA and community college was interrupted by my step father when we moved to Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico where we produced hotel commercials. Within five years our clients included most of the major hotel chains in Mexico. Since then I have “graduated” to International Marketing Manager for a number of large Mexican corporations that originally brought me to San Antonio. First for Video Omega, the largest video production company in Mexico and then Hotel Hacienda Cola de Caballo, a very interesting 40 million dollar adventure hotel located close to Monterrey Mexico which I promoted at the North Star Mall. For the last 5 years I have been involved with every aspect of the limousine business and naturally I flowed toward the marketing department in one of the largest limo companies in town. Last year my boss said “John, there cannot be two presidents!” but he was nice enough to sell me my first limousine. Now my company has a number of limousines and a Party Bus that is spectacular enough to compete with the finest in the state. Since I moved to San Antonio at the change of the millennium in December of 1999 I feel I have found my “ombligo” which ancient Aztec folklore regards as the center of the earth or life. I love San Antonio and I am looking forward to promoting tourism and luxury transportation in and around the area for years to come!
