In the real world, that translates into someone who delivers results in ways which fit the circumstances and risks. As a result I'm often asked to rescue business critical projects. I designed a new reporting strategy which allowed RBS to meet HM Treasury requirements of the bail-out.
And I'm passionate about good governance.
That sounds dull. But think of any financial or healthcare scandal, or an infamous disaster; most likely poor governance contributed to the bad things that happened, whether that be financial losses, a collapsed charity or tragic environmental damage.
All ambitious organisations, from the smallest charity to the largest corporate wants to be able to run as fast as possible. A focus on strategy, risk, and control does not mean slow and bureaucratic.
