Not many guys get married sans tuxedo. Or tie. Or shoes. Or even a shirt. Then again, not many guys propose, fly to Tahiti, rush to a beach and get married. All within 24 hours. He was the wedding photographer, too. Thatched huts and turquoise waters, aside John got his start working at The Richards Group on Motel 6. He helped developed the “smart choice” strategy that led to Tom Bodett. Just two years out of college. When he’s not with his wife, two sons and daughter he does things like introduces the Hummer to the civilian market generating a ten-fold return on the marketing investment. John also co-founded Pyro Brand Development in 1994, a Richards Group division.
