John Borders has spent more than 20 years providing clinical care services to families and children throughout the St. Louis, Missouri region. He has extensive experience working with families going through divorce and dealing with post divorce-related parenting conflict. He provides services to runaway youth, neglected children, and families struggling with other non-divorce issues. John Borders is a licensed psychotherapist and clinical social worker and has been approved by the Family Court of St. Louis County as a divorce mediator. He is also a court-approved Parenting Coordinator and has EMDR Level I and Level II certification.

Mr. Borders studied economics at Princeton University. He later completed a Master of Social Work program with an emphasis on children and family at Washington University, during which time he received the Eleanor Roosevelt Fellowship in recognition of his strong academics and leadership qualities. In addition to his work with children and families, he has published papers such as “Kids in the Middle of Divorce: Suggestions for a Healthy Future,” which was featured as a chapter in Good Things to Do: Expert Suggestions for Fostering Goodness in Kids.
