John Conlin

In 1991, George H.W. Bush was President and the Soviet Union was dissolved. Also I was born to Tom and Sue in Royal Oak, MI. Decent year for America.

I started college in 2010 and decided to concentrate in economics when people around me seemed concerned with a "recession". Prior I thought recess was a good thing. This was my introduction to adulthood - where things are rarely what they seem. Often precisely the opposite.

After law school I took the well-worn path to a Wall Street law firm. The work was sophisticated and plentiful, yet I began to scrutinize the motivations that brought me there. Now I try to differentiate myself in a consciously cooperative vs. unconsciously competitive way.
