John Charles Pitcher

For over fourty years John C. Pitcher has expressed his passion for the natural world through exhibitions of his wildlife paintings, and through the sharing of his nature journals. " I believe capturing the sense of a place and likeness of a bird or animal comes not only from a mastery of different techniques but also from one's knowledge as a naturalist. By experiencing nature first hand and recording my observations in field journals and sketchbooks, along with location paintings and photographs, I make vital connections to my subjects and their environment that guide me through the creative process of studio painting ".
