John Doxey relocated from San Francisco to the Netherlands in August 2016. My journalism experience includes four years as a freelance correspondent in Romania and Turkey, where I wrote primarily for Business Week magazine. I also worked as a general assignment reporter for the Associated Press in the United States, and produced an award-winning documentary film in 2002 while living in California. I have a master's in journalism from Northwestern University. I haven't been professionally active in journalism since 2003 - my current "day job" is recruiting teachers and administrators for international schools - but my reporting skills remain sharp. I'm now looking for freelance reporting assignments.
