John Rogers

John is a web marketing professional specializing in online community development, project management, social media marketing, and search optimization. As a graduate of Oregon State University’s College of Business, John holds a Bachelor's of Science in Business Marketing and a Minor in Sociology. As a natural reflection of his academic interests, John enjoys building and strengthening online communities. Previously, as a community manager he guided online communities to an average growth of 300%, and has managed web-based projects on local, national, and international scales.

John is currently a partner and Chief Communications Officer at Typethink, a Portland, Oregon based creative firm, which is devoted to website design, custom application development, identity and branding, web marketing, and an array of additional creative services. Outside of their range of services, Typethink has developed a cloud-hosted line of SaaS applications called Thinkspace, and is currently sold in the retail, financial, and municipal sectors. John is consistently involved in the refinement and future development of Thinkspace, continually working to interface with clients to maximize potential growth.

When he is not working, John serves The Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity at OSU as an alumni advisor, trustee, and housing corporation board member, volunteers for the Oregon Humane Society, and is co-founder of The Sylo Project, a crowd-sourced grass roots movement designed to help feed the hungry.
