I am a largely self-taught musician and artist with a long time interest in the creative arts. After school I studied metallurgy and achieved two higher degrees in different subject areas, never quite getting any satisfaction from this or the jobs which I had. I never lost interest in the arts and in the early '90s I did manage to study water colour painting at my local adult education college over a three year period. Since then I have studied, enjoyed and developed skills in a number of media. I also tackle all subjects including abstract.

Several years ago I co-founded an art group with two of my fellow students to provide a little discipline for painting in an otherwise busy life, we also are able to use the group for exhibitions (and selling our works whenever possible). The group has been quite successful and we are well known for the quality of our exhibitions.

I am also a musician / singer / songwriter and now play ukulele with Ukulele Central UK, a club and amateur group performing at many varied charity gigs. For more info see https://www.facebook.com/groups/centraluke/
