John oversees daily operations, as well as business and
client relationship development for school districts in Michigan and Indiana.

As district manager, John is responsible for leading, training, coaching, mentoring, budgeting and managing profit and lost operations. He also designs, implements, and adjusts sales plans and programs, with an emphasis on increasing student well-being, student participation and improving all levels of service.

John has been with Sodexo for over 27 years and brings a wealth of leadership and hospitality management experience. John most recently served as Administrative Director and General Manager for Guest Services Departments at the University of Louisville Hospitals where he was responsible for leading over 250 associates and managers including clinical dietitians, operations managers for Nutrition and Facilities Management. Some of John previous positions include Retail Operations Manager at North Carolina Baptist /Wake Forest University Hospitals and Food Production Manager at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

John is an alumnus of Alcorn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Institution Management, and a Masters of Business Administration from Bellarmine University - Louisville Kentucky.

Some of John’s key accomplishments include his selection as a member of Leadership Louisville, Leadership Detroit and the recipient of the Sodexo North America Platinum Team Spirit Award as well as Sodexo Healthcare Clients for Life award. John was responsible for securing Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. first federal contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, resulting in a 5-year funding of the Fraternity’s Conversation among Brothers initiative and serving as volunteer Director of the Sigma Leadership Academy, where John was committed to uphold the Fraternity’s mandate to build an organizational culture that develops great leaders today and instill the mechanisms and the mindset that will continue to foster great leadership tomorrow.

John believes in delivering service excellence to our clients and our communities. In April 2010, John participated in White House briefing with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity’s National President on President’s Obama Domestic Agenda.

John has a lovely 17 year old daughter, Nila and he currently resides in Detroit, Michigan. He is a member of sacred Heart Catholic Church.
