John Edel Tamani

Jet is an HCI and AI researcher of De La Salle University College of Computer Studies (DLSU-CCS) under the multidisciplinary research and professional laboratory, Center for Complexity and Emerging Technologies (COMET). His research interest is focused on applied Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence which allows existing technologies to use its full potential in simply solving current human problems. His study is not limited to the integration of HCI and AI, as he has also an interest in the theoretical aspects of computer science, especially the implementation of general-purpose learning algorithms in having intelligent systems. He has previous experiences working in the industry, as a developer in the field of Software Engineering and Project Management for both Mobile and Web applications.

He is one of the technical specialists of DLSU-COMET, a pro-active volunteer of DevCon and an organizer in various tech-community events in the Philippines, a director for Organizational Development of the Microsoft Student Community-DLSU, and a founder of the student developer group, Coders Manila.
