John Kelly
WASHINGTON, D.C.
My book, Beat Marijuana Charges Without Plea Bargaining, is available on Amazon as a Kindle version.
John Kelly is an independent research scientist and a former “Research ScientistI” for the State of Illinois where he conducted experiments in human behavior and published his findings in the peer reviewed Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior. He has studied all aspects of marijuana testing under the tutelage of Dr. Frederic Whitehurst, a Ph.D. chemist, attorney, and court-certified drug test expert. John also is a court-certified drug test expert. In 2011, John conducted research into the Duquenois-Levine (D-L) test at the South Carolina Center for Biotechnology with center director, Dr. Omar Bagasra, M.D., Ph.D, a board-certified Forensic Examiner. The results of this experiment were published in the peer-reviewed, The Open Forensic Science Journal, and demonstrated that the D-L test renders false positives and is not an identification test for marijuana. (See Appendix) John has also published with Phillip Wearne, Tainting Evidence which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize; the critically-acclaimed, False Positives Equal False Justice, a scientific/legal investigatory report about marijuana testing; an article in the London Guardian, also about marijuana testing; and, was a contributing author to the award-winning, Into the Buzzsaw. More recently, a version of the first chapter of this book has been accepted for publication by The Criminal Defense Bulletin.
