John Guthrie

John Guthrie is a passionate and proficient educational technologist. He has been teaching early childhood for eight years, and loves having the chance to positively impact childhood growth and education on a day-to-day basis. He is especially fond of discovering new ways to implement technology in the classroom. John is a firm believer in the benefits of edtech, and is constantly advocating for its use, both within the schools and as a communication tool with the parents.

John believes that technology is not being utilized to its full potential in schools, particularly at the early childhood education level. He wants to encourage schools to adopt an integrated curriculum in which technology is tied to authentic learning experiences. His primary career goal is to help children, parents, and educators become more technologically proficient, and he believes that the best way of doing this is to consolidate technology within the schools rather than simply teach it.
