A resident of New Canaan, CT, John Harrison brings more than two decades of experience to his current position as the global media and entertainment leader for Ernst & Young LLP (EY) in New York City. In this position, he leads a network of more than 8,000 media and entertainment professionals in the firm's advisory, assurance, tax, and transaction advisory services business lines. As part of his role as global sector leader, John Harrison is also member of Ernst & Young’s Global Practice Group, which consists of the company’s 125 top senior leaders around the world.

Mr. Harrison earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Vanderbilt University before going on to complete an MBA at the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. Prior to his current role with EY, he served as the global transaction advisory services leader for the company’s media and entertainment business. Previously, he held leadership positions with several prominent finance companies, including serving as a managing director in investment banking for Bank of America Merrill Lynch and as a vice president of investment banking for JP Morgan.

An active member of the industry, the New Canaan resident is often interviewed for industry publications and attends professional conferences such as the Consumer Electronics Show. Outside of his professional life, he pursues a diverse range of hobbies that includes traveling with his family, exercising, and reading biographies.
