John Havranek

Managing Partner of SiliconCantera, Inc. a Houston based staffing firm specializing in hard to fill positions for industries like Oil & Gas, Energy, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, and the Service Sector. The company was formed with the merger of Silicon Solutions and Cantera Systems in June of 2005. We have been fortunate to continue working with some of the best companies in the Houston arena on all types and levels of positions such as Engineers, Project Managers, Accounting/Finance,IT, Sales, and Operations; from entry level all the way up to VP and C Level positions. In addition to hands on Business Development and Recruiting, have extensive experience in Human Resources, Employment Law, and Employee Retension. Also have expereince in all aspects of operations from the initial start up of the company to the managing of HR, IT, Training, Finance, Contracts, etc. Also oversaw the set up and running of Business Development & Recruiting teams, while staying hands on in my personal production. This included newly developer training manuals and extensive personalized training for the teams. Also handled all contract development and negotiation for both recruiting and operations.

I am married with 2 kids and my interests are architecture, biking, skiing, vintage stereo equipment, baseball, and reading. Go Rice OWLS!
