John Heintz

Based in Chicago, Illinois, John Heintz is an attorney, educator, and business executive with years of experience in both the private and public sectors in the United States and Europe. Over the course of his career, he has proven himself an effective leader as he has led many organizations through complex regulatory and intellectual property challenges. Currently John Heintz is the senior legal consultant for Lydian, Inc., a Chicago-based consulting firm he co-founded in 2013. He has counseled French, Swiss, Chilean, and American executives through personal contract negotiations and also advised two international operations through start-up organization.
John Heintz also spent six years with the Niles Township High School District 219 as chief legal officer and assistant superintendent for human resources and operations. During his time with the district, he reduced spending growth by 32 percent and also negotiated formal partnerships and contracts, including union agreements. During this time he also spent a semester as an adjunct professor for the John Marshall Law School. Heintz has earned multiple degrees, including a master’s of business administration from the University of Chicago and an advanced LL.M. in public international law from the University of Ledien in the Netherlands.
