Back my campaign

Hello! I'm John LaDue, Jr. and I'm a filmmaker, director and storyteller. I'm currently working on an important documentary called "Mommy or Daddy?"

This film is a real life look at the devastation children experience in Japan when the trauma of divorce hits their family. In Japan, it's common place for one parent to prevent the other from having any access to the children. The result is years of heart wrenching and long lasting anguish for the children and the “left behind” parent.

In Japan, 150,000 children - 410 children per day - are abducted from their homes and communities by a parent each and every year. The child and parent alienation situation in Japan is, in reality, a horrifying "nationwide children's rights crisis with reverberating international impact."

How can this kind of thing happen? Loopholes in the legal system and lack of awareness of the longterm effects are two major factors at play.

What can you do to help make this wrong thing right? Help us tell the story and change the narrative!

Here’s how:

1. JOIN OUR TEAM. We need you (Yes, YOU!!) to spread the word out about this important children’s rights issue and the film, "Mommy or Daddy?” Email us at kintsugipictures (at) gmail.com with “MAKE ME A STORYTELLER” in the subject line. We’ll send you exclusive information about the film and more.
