WHO IS JOHN IVEY?

RECENT VICTORIES:
Mr. Ivey frequently declares "God and I defeated cancer". Mr. Ivey was diagnosed with leukemia January 15th, 1999 and was told he had 2, possibly 3 years to live. After 2 long years of arduous treatment, Mr. Ivey found himself at DEATH'S DOOR. At that time, he was accepted by Dr. Michael Schuster, who Mr. Ivey refers to as the World's Greatest Doctor, into clinical trials being conducted in New York by Novartis. Novartis is known for pioneering medicines for neglected diseases and was conducting Clinical Trials for the exact type of leukemia of which Mr. Ivey had been diagnosed. Within a few months he was completely well again. Although Mr. Ivey is still monitored by his oncologist and continues a strict regiment of medications, he declares himself completely healed. As there has been no evidence of leukemia since April 16th, 2002 and he only has minimal side effects as a result of his currents meds, it is really hard to argue with him. Mr. Ivey does admit however, "Being in the first group of 300 people worldwide to put a pill in your mouth was a little unnerving". At 59 Mr. Ivey enjoys each day as if it might be his last. He suggests everyone should do the same.

  • SPECIAL RECOGNITION:
    Mr. Ivey was selected by The Ruder Finn Group of New York to participate in a Worldwide Advertising Campaign on behalf of Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation. The campaign focused on Radio Ads, Magazine Ads, as well as The Novartis website's Patient's success stories. The Radio Ads aired Nationally, while the Full Page Print Ads were in many high profile Medical Journals, as well as Time Magazine, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal and other National Publications. When questioned by me about his compensation for participating in this ongoing advertising campaign Mr. Ivey stopped, turned and smiled as he softly spoke saying, "They saved my life. What more should I expect?"
