I write and teach about the Christian faith and believe fervently that, in the words of Gustavo Gutierrez, "to know God is to do justice." My work is rooted in the conviction that, by naming and dismantling injustice, we can create a world that better reflects the abundant life at the heart of Christ's gospel.

I am a scholar of sexual theology and ethics and believe we are created in the image of God as sexual beings, meaning sexuality is holy. I advocate for comprehensive sexuality education, justice for the sexually maginalized, and a progressive view of how the Christian faith informs our understanding human sexuality and gender.
