John J. Cafaro

A retail and manufacturing executive with nearly 50 years of experience in the real estate and construction industry, John J. Cafaro serves as the president of J.J. Cafaro Investment Trust in Brookfield, Ohio. John J. Cafaro founded the company in 2010, and he has since led it to successfully acquire properties in Florida and West Virginia. The firm is in the process of developing a conversion process to make diesel fuel from waste tires.

He formerly worked at the Youngstown-based Cafaro Company as its executive vice president and led it in specializing in building facilities for retail and manufacturing businesses. Successfully completed projects include the Ohio Valley Mall, and the Meadowbrook Mall. During his years as the company’s executive vice president, Cafaro never allowed a project to run over budget or fail to meet a completion deadline.

Cafaro’s work as an industry leader has led to business opportunities in the automobile industry, particularly with Avanti. Mr. Cafaro headed the Avanti automobile assembly plant, which included the installation of assembly line machinery. He played a critical role in the design of two Avanti automobiles, the four-door 1990 Touring Sedan and the completely redesigned 1991 convertible. The latter is considered one of the finest Avanti cars ever built.
