John Klevins

Who is John Klevins? At my core I am a non-denominational Christian who doesn't want religious details distracting from a divine message. I am a work in progress and hope to always be improving! I am a husband who is constantly falling more in love with his wife each and every day. I spend as much time as possible loving on my chocolate lab, Gracie and my yellow lab, Fred. I enjoy hiking in the Pacific Northwest Mountains along with scenic motorcycle rides with my favorite passenger, Margaret. As for the remainder of my life, I enjoy committing my time, energy, and financial resources to the betterment of the Pugent Sound area's vulnerable populations. I have recently founded a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization called the Legacy of Elder Advancement Foundation or LEAF. All of us LEAF volunteers work to keep love and laughter in the hearts and minds of Seattle's elder community. We accomplish our mission through innovative programming and synergistic resource planning and implementation. In my role as the leader of LEAF, I profess to be a social venture entrepreneur, who strives for the unification of the for-profit and non-profit models. In my mind, Paul Newman was a great social venture entrepreneur and his organization, headed by his daughter, continues in this capacity. They create retail based products that are sold within the for-profit system and then contribute 100% of their net proceeds to non-profit charitable organizations. This socially responsible linking of for-profit to non-profit is and will continue to be at the forefront of my efforts to assist vulnerable populations. It is my vision that the LEAF Foundation will soon be financially supported through this mechanism. If you are interested in what we are creating, or would like to join in our efforts, please don’t hesitate to send me an e-mail or visit my various forms of internet based, social and business interconnectivity. Always trust the smaller voice, for it comes from an enlightened place. Blessings, j
