John Leckie Inc

For more than 58 years, John Leckie, Inc., has provided bus service to school districts in northern New Jersey. The company contracts with the Passaic, Teaneck, Mahwah Township, and Ridgefield Public Schools, as well as the Solomon Schechter Day School and Torah Academy of Bergen County. For these organizations and others, John Leckie, Inc., provides safe and reliable transportation for students in all grades.

The company maintains a fleet of more than 90 vehicles, all of which receive regular service from the company's four full-time mechanics. Its drivers all hold commercial driver's licenses, and its dedicated professional staff also includes in-house safety trainers, who provide routine weekly trainings based on curriculum from the National Safety Council. In addition to attending these programs, all drivers must complete the Council's six-hour defensive-driving program on an annual basis.

Actively connected to the communities beyond the school systems, John Leckie company volunteers participate in such local organizations as the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Program and safety programs offered by the Hackensack Police Department and the Hackensack Fire Department.
