John Lewis

I launched and co-founded the first organic coffee roasting, retail, direct, and wholesale business in Beijing China called Ocean Grounds. I sold my interest in that business in late 2013. Companies hire me to create change, produce content to drive social media, and build global product and marketing strategies. I admire brands that have a strong culture (or want to create one) and are good storytellers.

Personal stuff: I love technology, music, drinking coffee and drinking coffee while listening to music. If I can do all of those things while snowboarding, even better... I love looking at, talking about, and/or riding motorcycles. My one wish is to turn LA into the largest bicycling community in the US. In the past 12 months, I was on a Honda sponsored motorcycle reality show and helped set the Guiness Book of World Records for an anklung concert in Beijing (odd, but true).

Philosophy: you learn more from failure than success....so stay out of your comfort zone.
