I was born in Georgia. I am married. I am a father. I am honest, up front and detailed oriented. I believe in doing what is right regardless if anyone is watching or not.

I really enjoy technology, especially when it works. I have been using computers, the Internet and email for over 20 years. I have never had a malware problem, lost data, or more than ten error messages a year. I am college educated and have multiple computer certifications. However, most of what I know (that really matters) I taught myself. Experience is the best teacher.

I really enjoy cybersecurity and training people. Over the years, I have successfully trained every person (except one) that I have worked with. I love helping people learn something new and get the most out of their technology investment and be more secure.

I have been fixing broken technology for several years now. I am ready to try something new with my current employer or with a new organization. I am flexible. A perfect position for me would involve cybersecurity, training or vulnerability assessment.

I found a good Ted Talk on YouTube by Kerri Twigg. She asked two interesting questions. What are the three things you are great at? You do your best work with what type of people and in what kind of environment?

I think I am great at planning, explaining and breaking down technology so anyone can understand it, and looking at the big picture accurately and create a plan to reach the end goal.

I think I work best with people that are ready to work smarter and not always harder. Yes, work is important and we all want to be excellent at our jobs and revered. I get to work 60-90 minutes early each day. However, work does not define who we are. Work is what we do.

I think it is good to continue to learn and grow. This past December I became a Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate. This past May I earned my Coursera Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) certificate. I just completed a MITRE ATT&CK course from AttackIQ Academy. I passed the final exam and earned a certificate.

I am ready to do work I love and be a major contributor to an organizations success. Thank you.

John.
