John is a serial entrepreneur who previously integrated his role of supervising River Valley Foods(T) Ltd while at the same time practicing investment banking for corporate organizations in South,East and Central Africa. River Valley is a food processing company with a cashew nut processing factory in Mtwara, South Tanzania processing grows high quality cashew nuts of various varieties and sizes for both domestic and region. John is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Co-Chief Executive Officerof the company. He is currently a Founder & Managing Partner of Kiota Capital Fund in Nairobi.John has previously being Director and a Shareholder(co-founder) of M.M.John International a consulting firm whose investment banking division advises corporations and institutions in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, capital formation, and capital structure - and operates in industries as diverse as financial services, government, energy, manufacturing, telecom, and agriculture. The company also had a trading division that dealt in the importation of mobile,smartphones and other electrical equipment from the Far East.After that John worked with Nova Capital Partners in New York as an Corporate Finance Analyst for over four years and continues to work for both CAPJ Capital and Brigg Capital of London,UK as an Associate Investment Banker mainly in the area of Deal Origination.With over ten years experience ininvestment banking, John has developed a valuable network in Africa, Asia, US and Europe with ability to mobilize resources for most of the projects. John also currently serves as a mentor to about 20 Startups, including, Ubuntu Online, a newly formed ISP in Kenya,among others! John especially enjoys fundraising as a profession with special interest in Oil, Gas and Power,financial and, agricultural sector as well as infrastructure funding.

John holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Business of University of Cape Town, South Africa and is currently a registered Ph.d student with The Adizes Graduate School
