Hello, I’m John. I am currently the CEO of Allergy Standards Ltd, an international standards and Certification Body, a company I founded while working as an Emergency Room Doctor. As a co-founder, I have secured significant equity investments as well as several hundred thousands of Euros in grant awards.

I have led the development of an international intellectual property portfolio of patents and trade mark applications and negotiated complex licensing agreements with large multinationals.

As an expert in healthcare entrepreneurship I am always on the lookout for new opportunities and assignments in life sciences, digital health & medical device sectors.

I am a medical entrepreneur who qualified as a doctor from Trinity College Dublin in 1996, am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and also hold United States Medical Licensing exams.

I graduated first in his class from the Dublin Institute of Technology Business Incubator Programme in January 2001 with a Post Graduate Diploma in new business development and winning the Docklands Innovation Park awards sponsored by the Sunday Business post. I also graduated with distinction from the DIT business school with a post graduate diploma in International Selling.

In addition to my entrepreneurial and business activities, I also maintain an interest in university research and knowledge exchange practices. I am the Entrepreneur in Residence at the Centre for Practice and Healthcare Innovation in the Faculty of Health Sciences as well as a member of the Knowledge Transfer & Innovation Committee, in Trinity College Dublin.

I am a member of the Institute of Directors and a frequent guest speaker on innovation in Dublin University Business School in healthcare entrepreneurship which sees me as a key note speaker on the subject and mentoring a number of early stage ventures.
