I believe the current energy transition will be the defining challenge of our time. I also believe a new generation of data and analytics will be crucial to navigating a pathway forward. I've therefore dedicated my career to advancing analytical capability and digital technology to accelerate the transition, working with communities, business, utilities and government at all levels.

I’m currently directing the energy networks research portfolio for the CSIRO, Australia’s national scientific and industrial research organisation. This includes a number of cross-cutting digital energy initiatives including:

• The National Energy Analytics Research Program, to enhance energy forecasting, planning and operations using a new generation of energy data and analytics
• The Reliable Affordable Clean Energy Collaborative Research Centre, a collaborative program to drive lower energy costs and a substantial reduction in emissions by 2030

I also founded a startup called Ecologic which provides a web platform to help households, businesses and cities install energy efficiency, solar and batteries at scale.
