John Giffen

John Giffen has been directly and indirectly involved in the real estate industry for over 26 years as both a real estate professional and the owner of numerous residential and investment properties. He has over 30 years of sales marketing and management experience.

He is the Principal Broker of Benchmark Realty, LLC in Franklin, Tennessee where he oversees close to 375 licensed real estate agents. He is a Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and holds the Graduate, REALTOR Institute designation.

In addition to his responsibilities as a managing broker, John is a Tennessee Real Estate Commission approved course instructor as well as a certified instructor for REBAC's Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation. He also has been called on to be a Subject Matter Expert for TREC in reviewing and creating content for the Tennessee Affiliate Broker and Broker licensing examinations. He continues to teach, speak, and write on various topics including licensing issues, buyer representation, property marketing, real estate ethics and transaction behavior.

John is a member of the National Association of REALTORS, the Tennessee Association of REALTORS, and the Williamson County Association of REALTORS. He is also a member of the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers and the Council of Residential Specialists of the National Association of REALTORS.

John and his wife, Michelle, are native Tennesseans and longtime residents of Williamson County. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Lambuth University (now the University of Memphis at Lambuth) in Jackson, Tennessee. He is active in numerous community and civic organizations. John and Michelle are active members of Christ Community Church in Franklin where John serves as an elder.
