Mike Hinds, PhD

I am a highly and diversely skilled Manager/Technologist with a Ph.D. in Physics. I have had an interesting career thus far, with a rich background covering several levels of responsibility, including Technology Executive, Director of Software Applications, Software Engineering Manager and Product and Project Manager. I started my professional career as a Software Developer for the Hubble Space Telescope and have lots of experience with image, video and machine vision software and hardware. I have had many different job descriptions in my 20+ year career. One common thread has been technology-based endeavors and improving or implementing business process. I’m experienced in and a proponent of the Scrum/Agile business process. In a nutshell, I thrive when I'm working with talented people mixed with exciting technology. Some of my strengths are helping different audiences communicate with each other better, foreseeing and helping to remove obstacles early on, contributing technically to the design of future or next generation products and managing programs or projects. I believe that my main strengths are team leadership, communication, logistic and organizational skills, process improvement, project management and technical analysis.
