John Stuart, self-taught in website and graphic design, is a young entrepreneur and founder of Stuart Digital. On top of running his own business, he keeps a busy schedule as a high school student, and with activities in Boy Scouts of America.

In 2003, he joined the Boy Scouts of America as a Cub Scout, and in 2009 he was eligible to be a Boy Scout in troop 299 and as of August 2014 is now an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. He is also in the Order of the Arrow, a national Boy Scouts of America honor fraternity, and was his lodge’s Vice Chief of Administration, which included responsibilities of creating a monthly newsletter that was sent to all scouts and parents in the tri-state area. In December 2013, he received the Youth Arrowman of the Year award for 2013, which is awarded to one youth and one adult in the lodge each year. Stuart was voted by his peers for this award and is recognized throughout the lodge.

In 2010, Stuart started his own designing firm, originally called JMS Designs, and has since renamed it to Stuart Digital, where he has designed a number of websites for clients: a custom T-shirt design store, a marketing and research company, a few band fan sites, websites for both his youth group and Boy Scout troop, and a personal site for Todd Waites (one-armed keyboardist and motivational speaker). He also created a promotional poster for a national touring rock music group, ApologetiX, in December 2011.

During the summers of 2012 and 2013, he worked at the Tri-State Arrowhead Boy Scout Camp in Ona, West Virginia, as a merit badge instructor, where he taught young scouts about space exploration, photography, videography, and journalism. Stuart has also served, on occasion, as an usher and his church’s sound technician.

Stuart is a well accomplished young man and hopes to go far in the world with what he learns. John Stuart plans to keep pursuing the web design business and hopes to learn even more in school and one day become a police officer and get certified in IT.
