An accomplished academic with extensive experience teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, John Nofsinger currently serves as a professor of finance at Washington State University, where he earned his bachelor of science in electrical engineering and his doctor of philosophy in finance. John Nofsinger also holds a master of business administration from Chapman University.

Dr. Nofsinger’s research interests include institutional and individual investing, behavioral and socially responsible finance, corporate governance, and international finance. He has written on these and related subjects for a variety of academic journals and trade publications, including the Journal of Financial Services Research and the Journal of Wealth Management. He has also been a co-author for a number of scholarly works and textbooks, including Behavioral Finance: Investors, Corporations and Markets (2010).

Before accepting joining Washington State University as an assistant professor in 2001, John Nofsinger was an assistant professor of finance at Marquette University. He has also taught courses in the psychology of investing and other topics at universities and conferences worldwide.
