Johnny Thompson

Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico

Johnny Thompson loves what he does. What does he do? Well, I'll admit the title above is a general so let's get specific. Johnny is the principal at Rancho Sordo Mudo, a free Christian home and school for the Deaf children of Mexico. He lives and works there full time alongside is seriously gorgeous wife Amber.

How did he end up in Mexico? Ah, good question. Johnny and Amber were at Hume Lake Christian camp as counselors for their church when they felt God calling. Ever since, it has been an exercise in trust, letting God lead them where he wants.

Currently in their fourth year of serving at the school both Johnny and Amber plan to continue their work in Mexico. They also have a little boy who lives with them named Juan Jose. They are inquiring about their adoption options in Mexico.

Johnny is a super nerd. Seriously, he's really nerdy. Enjoys board games, video games, anything remotely competitive. He loves futbol to point of crying at a World Cup advertisement (which his wife will never forget).
