Plays include MOLLY WOOD, an historical tragic-comedy, which won two Dora Mavor Moore Awards for Outstanding New Play and Outstanding Production after its world premiere in Toronto. He also won top honors at the Quebec Drama Festival for his first play, FROM THE MEMOIRS OF JOHNNY DAZE, which was then produced as a full-length feature film in association with the National Film Board of Canada. His first musical, GO-GO BEACH (with Mike Shaieb and Brent Lord), was staged at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC by CAPPIES (a national American youth theater organization), and won the Audience Choice Award at Toronto’s SummerWorks Festival in 2003. It was given a commercial Korean-language production at the National Arts Center in Seoul, and is now licensed internationally by Theatrical Rights Worldwide. For television, Mr. Wimbs was a staff writer on EDIBLE INCREDIBLE!, an award-winning children's television program for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
