John Olorunfemi is the founder and a researcher at LumAfrik, a renewable Energy Media and consultancy firm focused on Africa’s clean energy transition. His early experience as a volunteer with Rhealyze Africa in Akure exposed him to the pressing challenges of education, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.
While studying at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), he served as a campus news reporter with Campus Connect Network, where he discovered the power of media in shaping narratives.
After experiencing both successes and setbacks while working on several startups, he founded LumAfrik to shine spotlight on Africa’s renewable energy transformation, tell impactful stories shaping the continent’s future, and provide expert consultancy services to clients worldwide.
With his background in media, grassroots advocacy, and startup development, he bring a unique perspective and drive to solving the information and awareness gap in Africa’s growing clean energy ecosystem.
Olorunfemi holds a Bachelor's Degree from the Federal University Of Technology Akure (FUTA), Ondo State, Nigeria.
