Founder of Spark Plug Games, a fiercely independent team of action-packed, sword-wielding, mercury-infused game developers. We're currently developing Firefly Online based on the Firefly brand created by Joss Whedon. Yes, that one with Nathan Fillion in it. And Alan Tudyk. And all the other wonderful Big Damn Heroes. I still pinch myself with excitement everyday we're working on this. We also have one of our most exciting new IPs in development called MechRunner (hurrah finally released in Early Access form on Steam!)

I've been developing video games on and off for the past 20 years, and have gradually evolved from a programmer-at-heart to a mixture of chaos manager (in other words, running a business) and spokesperson for advancements in this industry. My greatest job enjoyment is all the wonderful people I get to meet, and help spread the positive word of what we are capable of doing. I try to speak from the heart and often don't prepare for presentations or lectures, as I've found the passion of storytelling comes from the heart, and my best stories are the one that I'm put on the spot to tell.

We love having fun as an industry, and playing games for us is a form of "research" that we can get away with. There is also a tremendous impact we can have as game developers on this world. I try to educate people not only on the positive good that can be achieved through FUN, but also in helping companies use game development techniques to spread a message, educate a child, or achieve a training goal. Sometimes we call this "serious games" but often there's nothing that seriousabout it.

Do I always have that crazy wide smile on? Usually.

Has that beard become more gray over the past 8 years of running this fabulous company? Absolutely.
