Jeg har arbejdet 28 år i banksektoren. De sidste 17 år forskellige job i Kristelig Fagforening, sidst som faglig konsulent. Efter tre år som efterlønner er jeg nu opgraderet til folkepensionist.

My name is John Overgaard and I live in Denmark.

I paint watercolors because I cannot help it - and because I want to create joy in the viewer.

I get my inspiration from the nature, and therefore most of my paintings are of the landscape.
I'm experiencing a challenge by painting watercolors, because the process is difficult,
planned spontaneity could be a description of this process.

I prefer to paint places I've been. It is the simplicity, light and vibrant colors that characterize the soul of watercolor and this is what I try to recreate.

In some of my watercolors I incorporate "hidden messages." These are often quotes from the Bible.
