John Oyebanji

"Faith" John Oyebanji is a multi-talented individual with high proficiency in writing, speaking and administrative skills. He is a social entrepreneur, youth advocate, public speaker, experienced manager with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. He is also skilled in Digital Printing, Leadership, Social Media, Digital Media, and Computer Literacy. Creative writer, with a background in investigative reporting. Expert in interviewing, reporting, fact-checking, and working on a deadline. Great storytelling skills and a nose for the truth. He has flair for social justice and egalitarian society, making him a writer-activist with belief in Democratic Socialism. Through his writings, many developmental and governmental attention given to his immediate Modakeke locale, amidst other environment and sector.

He is always passionate about community-service and nation-building, a drive to John Oyebanji Foundation, with a vision of creating sustainable environment where much importance is attached to the common man. He had spoken in a number of national conferences, schools and establishments. He is the Proprietor, Prince Prevarsity, a less-profit-oriented remedial institution established as part of his contribution towards educational development. He obtained a Bachelors of Arts (Education) in History Degree of the Obafemi Awolowo University; Certificate in Social Psychology (with honours) of the Wesleyan University; Community Organizing for Action; Effective Communication for Healthy Outcomes certificates from Young African Leaders Initiative.

Career

In 2014, he worked as a political reporter of The Parrot Newspapers, where he assiduously worked to become an editor, five years later.

In 2016, he was the Editor for FUMS Parrot, a media team of student reporters in Modakeke, and at the same time was an intern at Our Lady's High School, Modakeke.

In 2019, He was an Administrative Officer of Royal Comprehensive High School, Modakeke.

He is presently the Head, Public Relations Unit of a budding growth-focused, full service, and ROI-focused digital marketing agency, Digital.NG. He is a Graduate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. He is a seasonal columnist on Opinion Nigeria and 247Ureports. He is a Fellow of the World Institute of Peace.

He has attended a number of conferences, few of which are:

• World Peace Conference 2021…amidst others.
