John Palacio
John Palacio, is an award winning television producer, director, journalist, writer, media consultant and entrepreneur.
As the Creative Director of Rock n Robin Productions he has produced "Countdown to the Special Olympics World Games" for ESPN, "Katrina: 10 Years after the Storm" for ABC, and "The Future of Health" for WebMD.
As a consulting producer for ABC he has produced the yearly "Countdown to the Oscars," "The Year" and "In the Spotlight: All Access Nashville" for the past four years. He has also produced shows behind the scenes of "General Hospital" and "Dancing with the Stars" and directed "Shark Tank: Swimming with Sharks."
As the EIC of And Now Media he has overseen the production of hundreds of online and broadcast commercials, videos and live productions for a wide variety of companies (Ericsson, Nintendo, ELF) and organizations (American Museum of Natural History, Elie Weisel Foundation, Asia Society).
John is a member of the Director's Guild of America. Recent directing projects include "Shark Tank: Swimming with Sharks," "Thank you America," work for the PBS Fund Drive, and the live "National Economics Challenge".
Previously, John spent over a decade as a senior producer for Good Morning America, overseeing broadcasts from war zones to the trenches of Hollywood. He ran the New York Offices of the syndicated shows “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider” for over three years and was the director in their New York Office. New York studio. He is the recipient of an Emmy, a Peabody and a Telly Award.
In his spare time John acts and directs in live theater in New York City. He was recently seen as Captain Von Trapp in "The Sound of Music" and "Otto Frank" in "The Diary of Anne Frank." He also works often as a commercial voice actor.
John resides in New York with his wife and two children.
