Driven by a deep love and respect for horses, Spirit & Squirt Horse Rescue was founded to create a safe haven for neglected or abandoned horses. Named after two of our first rescues—Spirit, a noble survivor, and Squirt, a spirited little horse with a big heart—our sanctuary represents resilience and compassion. With the support of volunteers, sponsors, and horse lovers, we’ve grown to be one of Texas’s top horse rescues, providing a caring space for horses of all ages, including those in retirement.

Through our Adopt A Horse program, we connect horses with loving adopters and give each animal dedicated rehabilitation. By adopting, donating, or even purchasing the Best Buy Hat from Spirit & Squirt Horse Rescue, supporters play a vital role in offering these incredible animals a new chance at a happy, safe life. Compassion and honesty are our guiding principles, and we’re committed to the welfare of every horse in our care.
