John P. Figueroa, is a consultant, author, and former nonprofit executive working at the intersection of reentry, juvenile justice, and artificial intelligence. He is the founder of Clutch Time Consulting, LLC, where he helps nonprofits, behavioral health providers, and workforce development organizations strengthen operations and apply AI in practical, real-world ways.
He previously served as a Regional Executive Director with Southwest Key Programs, overseeing multi-site youth justice programs across multiple counties. His background also includes direct service roles, trauma-informed care, and experience as an adjunct instructor at Buffalo State University where he also served as an advisory board member for the MPA program.
After spending over 16 years incarcerated, including close to a decade in solitary and long-term confinement, John now focuses on helping organizations align programs with how people actually think, behave, and make decisions under pressure.
He is the author of the Street-Smart AI series. His most recent book, Street-Smart AI: From Locked Down to Leveled Up, is a practical guide designed to help individuals navigate reentry in today’s world. John is married, has three beautiful daughters, and currently lives in Arizona.
