JohnPatrick Leon

My name is John Leon and I am a student at The George Washington University majoring in International Politics. I am originally from Queens New York. My family are from Ecuador, and I am an only child.

My ambitions can not really be summed up in a couple of sentences. Anyone that knows me will tell you one of my biggest passion is helping others. I believe whole heartedly in volunteering and serving the community I live in. Whether it was the food bank in my community, or my local church or where I currently work, Jumpstart which is an Ameri-Corp Program, I always seem to be my happiest when I know I have made a difference in people's lives. To me it is not about a resume or what people think of your work, it is about the people you serve and the difference you are making. There is no price for that.

I have the most loving support group. I have three best friends that I consider to be my family. Although they are all far away building their future and dreams, they never forget me and they never forget to help me when I need it. I can always trust them and the trust we have, and above all the trust I have in their word, is the most rewarding thing that keeps us all together. My family and friends are the most important thing to me. Words can not describe how much I appreciate them. Everyone knows I am a family man, and I would not have it any other way.
