John Seven

John began his career with the legendary '90s indie comic, Very Vicky, which he created with his wife, children's book illustrator Jana Christy.

John and Jana later collaborated on several children's books - including the multi-award-winning Ocean Story (Stone Arch Books), the infamous A Rule Is To Break: A Child's Guide To Anarchy and Happy Punks 123: A Counting Story (both Manic D Press), and the picture book comic, A Year With Friends (from Abrams).

His four-part chapter book series The Time Tripping Faradays concludes in the fall of 2014.

His work as a freelance writer includes comics reviews for Publishers Weekly and The Comics Journal, and a weekly column in the Berkshire Eagle.

John was arts and entertainment editor at the North Adams Transcript for a number of years.
