John Smoot

I am geologist from Montana living in Washington state. My career has taken me around the world from North America to Australia to Europe and Russia. I started in oil and gas, did some mining, then became significantly involved in groundwater supply and contamination, high-level nuclear waste policy, and ultimately used my gamma and neutron knowledge from wireline logging to become actively involved in nuclear nonproliferation in Russia after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Now I am off on the greatest challenge in business to start my own company, 4D GeoViz, LLC, to bring geology to life with modern software products and 3D glasses.
