Baton Rouge, La.

I am a proud Louisiana State University student studying mass communication with a concentration in public relations. I am honored to have recently been accepted into the Manship School of Mass Communication at LSU.

I enjoy traveling and participating in community service. For instance, I have participated in service projects at homeless relief organizations in Vancouver, Canada and updated gardens for a battered women's shelter in Atlanta, Georgia. As much as I enjoy traveling to complete my community service, I also believe in helping those in my local area. I have participated in many local food drives and community clean ups.

Currently, I work as a student worker for the LSU AgCenter and Louisiana's 4-H Program Leader. I completed an internship with the National 4-H Council in Washington, D.C. where I worked on county outreach, event planning and social media.

On campus, I am an active member of Collegiate 4-H of LSU. Within these clubs, I participate in leadership roles and community service. For example, I am vice president of our collegiate 4-H program whose focus is youth development throughout Louisiana.

I simply aspire to encourage others and to travel the world.
